  • Gin : 1.5 oz
  • Half-and-Half : 1.5 oz
  • Lime Juice : 0.5 oz
  • Lemon Juice : 0.5 oz
  • Egg-White Powder : 1 tsp
  • Soda Water : 0.5 oz
  • Lemon Wedge : 1

Recipe Instructions

Take your gin, half-and-half, lemon juice, lime juice and egg-white powder and combine them all in a cocktail shaker that you've already filled with ice. Shake your ingredients well and strain them into a highball glass filled with ice. From there, pour in your club soda and simply garnish with a lemon wedge to finish!

Like many of the drinks in our database, the Ramos Fizz was created by a saloon owner. Henrico Ramos owned the Imperial Cabinet Saloon in New Orleans, where the recipe was actually kept secret until after the saloon had closed. Considering that the saloon operated during the Prohibition - that comes as no surprise to us. That being said, what is surprising is the fact that Henrico's brother boldly published the recipe in a full page advertisement - the recipe has been popular ever since.
